jennalynn cisna, piano
Jennalynn Cisna received her Master's degree in Piano Performance from Northern Illinois University in 2022. She studied under Dr. William Goldenberg. Her bachelor's degree in Music Performance was earned in 2019 from Monmouth College. Jennalynn’s teaching philosophy focuses on cultivating a love of music in her teaching, inspiring students to become lifelong musicians. Her main goal when teaching is to bring out the musician in every student, no matter their age, skill level, or past experience.
Jennalynn tailors lessons to each student and takes great pride in creating a personalized pedagogical approach. She believes in creating well-rounded musicians, and places emphasis on note-reading, sight-reading, and improvisation, in addition to supplementing lessons with music history and music theory.
In addition to performing as a pianist, Jennalynn is also a cellist and is a member of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony.
